Breaking Into Music Presents:
Slacker Guide to the Music INdustry
Wednesday 6th November · 10:00am - 4:00pm
Oh Yeah Music Centre, 15-21 Gordon Street
Breaking Into Music is an interactive youth conference that aims to give young people with aspirations of working in the music industry and opportunity to hear from leading industry figures through a series of panels.
This year we welcome Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1) and his Slackers Guide to the Music Industry – the most up to date and essential guide on how to navigate the music industry. His book has been compiled using the knowledge of successful contemporary artists, such as Biffy Clyro, Run the Jewels, Charlie XCX and George Ezra, and offers a road map to success without all the bluff. During Breaking Into Music 2019 we will discuss ‘The First Steps in Making Music’, ‘The First Gig’, ‘Do Music Videos Matter’ and ‘Building A Fanbase’ – a range of contributors from the book will join Phil Taggart and the book will be on sale at the event.
Registration required via Eventbrite, limited availability
