Winnie Ama + Clara Bella + Belfast Groove Collective

  • Oh Yeah Music Centre 15-21 Gordon Street Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 2LG United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to host the Northern Ireland album launch DEKA from Northern-Irish-Ghanaian pop artist Winnie Ama. Released in Oct 2025 DEKA is a vibrant, genre-blending mixtape that fuses pop with disco, soul, and folk influences.

The title DEKA means “one” in Ewe, her mother’s native language from Ghana. 'One' symbolises unity and creativity in diversity and is also symbolic of her first complete body of work. Written alongside an international team of producers — Simon Le Saint (Belgium), Yacine Alaoui (France/Morocco), Jonny Parry (Liverpool), Greg Hummell (London) and David Goode (London) this album showcases a truly global sound.

Lyrically, it explores the highs and lows of romance, the grounding power of old friendships, identity and belonging, love, betrayal, acceptance and forgiveness.

“DEKA is me choosing light without pretending the rain didn’t happen. It’s about celebrating community and my Northern-Irish-Ghanaian identity and embracing romantic love, acknowledging complicated times. Every track has a unique heartbeat, just like every era in life. It's really a mixtape album. ” Winnie Ama
