Imagine it’s 3am, you're sittin on the floor of a house party, with your mates, with a few cans and a class singer or musician performs to everyone. In these intimate moments of music, connection, community and craic there is something magical. I wanted to recreate this atmosphere in my home - a space where the incredible artists around me could be fully appreciated, by myself and others.

Tinteán began as a series of monthly house concerts in Belfast, curated by Brendy Loughran, inspired by the seanfhocal Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin. Now, these special nights are on the road, popping up in spaces across the country for all to enjoy.

Tinteán brings together three talented surprise acts performing short, heartfelt sets in an intimate and friendly atmosphere. From Joshua Burnside and Gemma Doherty to BIIRD and Beoga, some of the country’s most beloved folk and trad musicians have graced the stage, adding their magic to these unforgettable nights.

Tinteán is sponsored by Rí-Rá Beer. For updates and details, follow us on Instagram @tintean_bf
