Since picking up the guitar at age twelve, Mark Hegan has crafted a songbook which has garnered the Northern Irish artist local acclaim; form stunning write ups by Irish music legends Hot Press, to NI Music Prize nominations and airtime on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Ulster.
With a bold, stadium-ready sound and lyrics that address themes of adulthood, identity and compromise, Hegan combines intimacy with spectacle in a way that has prompted comparisons to legendary acts like U2, Gang of Youths and Bruce Springsteen. As part of Sound of Belfast 2023, Mark will perform at The Deer’s Head on the 9th November to launch his highly anticipated debut EP. Plus support from Taylor Lally and CAITTY.
