Irish electro-pop rising star Chubby Cat plays her first Belfast headline at The American Bar, joined by indie-pop songwriter Lucy Bell.
Chubby Cat is an electro-pop artist based in Belfast (via-Dublin-via-Cork). So far the songwriter’s roster consists of six singles, released to wide acclaim from Irish and UK press, BBC Radio 1 and Spotify playlisting, and is due to release her newest single on the 15th September. Having performed at Indiependence Festival in Cork this summer, Chubby Cat is due to play at this year’s Ireland Music Week - and Sound of Belfast, obv - with her brand new setlist of electronic music. Her sound is influenced by Rosalía, James Blake, and Fred Again. Don’t sleep on this one.
Support comes from Lucy Bell, a distinctive indie folk/pop artist whose candid and bittersweet voice-of-a-generation style songwriting came into its own on her heartfelt and candid debut EP Emotion Pending, released in August this year.
